“Via Lumo” is a sensorial journey of choreographed lights and movements inside a space. It heightens our awareness to change the way we perceive and embody the world around us. Each audience member is invited to construct their own imagined space through a certain gesture to change the light environment. This research is conduced through series of light media experiments and prototypes: at first, research on light media, found best light effects, let people’s cognition merged with the light environment to produce meaning towards the world.

We intend to create a light installation that can influence people’s state of consciousness, connect people’s feeling of time with light effect, to make people relaxed after get into the installation and entering a state that similar to daydream, in which they can explore their subconscious, slow down their feeling of time and have a different experience compare to when people are in ‘real time’ state.
