Installation Art and Architectural design are where I frame my research, exploring the effects and opportunities that responsive technologies provide to spatial design and participatory culture. Originally a sculptor, I studied as an Interaction Designer at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design London, and at the Institute of Digital Art and Technology in Plymouth before taking my skills and experience into an architectural context joining the ‘Interactive Architecture’ research group, at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London where I graduated with distinction.

My work focuses on enabling architecture to act not just as an interface between people participating in interactions but also as an active participant in its own right. I believe interactive environments able to improvise and learn from their interactions with people and the wider environment, have the potential to enter into exciting and potentially productive forms of dialog that enable continual negotiation between the built environment and its inhabitants and the natural environment.

I invite you to please visit www.interactivearchitecture.org, a repository of information I have been developing over the past 3 years for those interested in the emerging field of Interactive Architecture.
